Hello sweet thangs! I am so excited to share with you all some more awesome new goodies I have been whipping up lately! So much has happened these past few months, to baby showers, birthday celebrations, and new, sweet additions to the family. I feel extremely blessed to have taken part of all these beautiful celebrations of life. For starters, I wanted to share with you one of the 2 baby showers I had the pleasure in creating the desserts for! In my family we have quite the Dallas Cowboys fanatics, lol super die hard fans let me tell you. So of course my cousin would have nothing more than a Cowboys theme for his future little quarterback, Baby Johnnie! Who by the way has made his arrival into the world and is as perfect as can be! I was so thrilled and honored to have been asked to create something so special and personal for this beautiful couple and their new precious gift. Below I have featured these super adorable cake pops I had molded into a football shape form and detailed with white royal icing. For the rest of the cake pops, I attatched these royal blue and silver paper straws I had purchased from Etsy for a more personalized look! They fit the theme so perfectly! This is why I love these decorative paper straws, they are so versatile and can be used in so many creative ways. As for the cake pop chocolate colors, I used wilton candy melts. I did have to add extra drops of royal blue gel food coloring to make the royal blue match the teams color, and as for the grey, I simply added a small drop of black gel food coloring mixed with white chocolate. I then covered the grey pops with silver sprinkles for a more dramatic pop of that silver shade!
For the rice krispies platter, I added several drops of royal blue food coloring to the marshmallow mixture to create the blue effect. For those, I used a large star cookie cutter to create star shaped krispies! And as for the traditional krispies, I used the extra colored chocolate I had leftover from the cake pops and simply dipped the ends into the chocolates for that extra accent of Dallas colors! You can learn how to make these delicious rice krispies in one of my previous posts where I show you step by step on making them!
